The BuildView process

From site assessment to finished project film.

BuildView is supplied as a managed project service. We plan the capture, install the system, keep the imagery flowing and provide the tools to present the finished story.

01

Plan the view

We assess the project, likely construction stages, camera position, power, access and the best connection method.

02

Install and connect

The camera and communications equipment are installed, aligned and tested before the project capture begins.

03

Capture the build

Scheduled images create a consistent visual record and are sent securely into the BuildView project.

04

Give access

Builders, customers and approved stakeholders can view the latest progress and browse the project history.

05

Create the story

Selected images can be reviewed, arranged and produced as progress or completion timelapse videos.

06

Complete or transfer

At the end, the project is retained as agreed and suitable equipment can move to a new site.

Connection options

Use the site's wired broadband—or bring our own connection.

Every project needs a dependable route between the camera and BuildView. The right option depends on whether the site can provide fixed broadband by wired Ethernet and how easily the equipment may need to move later.

£30 + VAT partner rate

Wired site broadband

The customer or site must provide dependable fixed broadband to the BuildView equipment by wired Ethernet. This plan does not include Wi-Fi access or a BuildView-managed wireless network.

£50 + VAT partner rate

Managed connectivity + Wi-Fi

BuildView supplies a managed router with local Wi-Fi access. LTE can be the primary site connection or provide backup to suitable fixed broadband.

What the portal does

One clear place for project imagery.

BuildView is not just storage. It turns automated site imagery into something the builder and customer can actually use.

Full and focused views

See the complete panoramic image or selected areas of the project.

Project history

Browse earlier imagery by date and time.

Image review and export

Filter, select, privacy-check and prepare downloadable image sets.

Video production

Add opening and closing pages, captions, branding and soundtrack.

Between projects

Pause without closing the customer account.

Equipment waiting for the next project can be placed on a half-price hold subscription for up to three months. This keeps the reduced £80 + VAT existing-kit transfer route available.

After completion

Keep access to the finished record.

Completed-project portal access remains included for 60 days, then can continue for £5 + VAT per month where the customer wants ongoing access to the project imagery.

Designed around real sites

The installation matters as much as the platform.

A high-quality camera cannot compensate for a poor viewpoint, temporary obstruction or unsuitable power. We consider the practical site conditions before deciding how the system should be installed.

Camera position

A stable viewpoint that captures meaningful progress without unnecessary blind areas.

Power and cabling

A dependable supply and appropriate protected cable route for the project duration.

Changing construction

Consideration of scaffolding, cranes, compounds and the way the site will evolve.

Privacy

Positioning and project use should avoid unnecessary capture of neighbouring areas and private spaces.

Planning a project now?

The earlier the viewpoint and cable route are considered, the easier it is to achieve a consistent record from the beginning.
